Bunyodkor is an Uzbek football club from Tashkent, founded in 2005. In its short but bright history, the club has become a four-time Uzbek champion (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011), five-time Uzbek Cup winner and Super Cup holder.
Golden era
Between 2008 and 2011, under the legendary coaches Luiz Felipe Scolari and Zico, Bunyodkor dominated the national championship. The team became the first Uzbek club to reach the AFC Champions League semifinals (in 2008 and 2012).
Star names
Rivaldo (1999 Ballon d'Or winner), Server Djeparov, Anzur Ismailov, Odil Ahmedov have all played for the club. Bunyodkor has produced many talents for the Uzbek national team.
Today
The club continues to develop, relying on academy graduates and a strong coaching staff led by Ilyos Zeytullayev. The goal is to return Bunyodkor to the summit of national and Asian football.
